Ginza is famous as a fancy area in Tokyo. The name of Ginza itself is like a quality brand.
Magazines often feature this area, introducing good restaurants and various stores. Ginza has anything the best.
As a shopping district, it seems Ginza is less crowded and more organized than
Shibuya or
Shinjuku.
There are a lot of brand-name stores and department stores. The stores of CHANEL, LV, and Dior are located at a corner.
Because it's enjoyable to drop by and just see good stuff at those nice stores in Ginza, people like "Gin-bura," which means wandering around Ginza. It would be especially nice to "Gin-bura" on weekends because the main street becomes free of vehicle (12:00 - 17/18:00).
