> Shibuya

It's the busiest area and where youth culture flourishes.

Shibuya is one of the busiest cities in Japan. Especially young people like to hang around here.
There are so many stores, restaurants, bars, and karaoke places, and so on. You will feel the latest young culture there.
Some people say Shibuya is too crowded and also dirty.

When you get to Shibuya, you'll be surprised to see the scramble crossing right next to the station. This scramble crossing must be one of the busiest crosswalks in the world. It is said that about 500.000 people cross at the crosswalk in a day.

The most famous spot to meet up in Shibuya is "Hachiko-mae," which means in front of the staute of Hachiko.
Hachiko was a faithful dog, that kept waiting for his master at the station even after the master suddenly passed away. This story moved a lot of people, and the statue of him was built in 1934.

Though there are also a lot of cafes in Shibuya, it's often hard to find a seat. Especially, the Starbucks across Shibuya Station is ridiculously crowded all the time.
It may look funny that people wait for seats get available, holding their drinks in a long line. After waiting, however, you can have a good sight of the center of Shibuya from the window seats.
