> Harajuku

It's a shopping district for the young.

Harajuku is know as a fashionable area where many young people (including junior high and high school students) like to come. It seems that people who come here are also fashioable.

It's also close to Shibuya, which is much more crowded.

Harajuku is fantastic to shop clothing. There are various kinds of clothing shops, and mostly the stuff is not expensive. The good thing is that those shops are closely located so that you don't have to walk around too much.
There are also a lot of restaurants and cafes which are good places to take a break from shopping.

>> Takesita Street

One of the main streets in Harajuku is Takeshita Street, called Takeshita-dori in Japanese. It's narrow, but there are full of teen-oriented shops alongside. The stuff sold there is mostly casual and cheap. Also, you can find some shops that deals clothing of Gothic fashion.

You'll be surprised not only at the number of crepe shops but also to see people make a line in front of each shop in Harajuku.
Among more than 50 kinds of crepe, one with slices of banana, chocolate souce, and whipped cream is the most popular. The prices are around 400 yen ($4).
